The Endeavour Comes to Cardiff Bay!

A replica of Captain Cook's ship, The Endeavour, which recently appeared on BBC2 will be sailing into Cardiff on December 13th. While the ship is moored in the Bay, school pupils and families will be able to experience life on board the 18th century vessel.

Between 14 December and 1 January inclusive, visitors can experience standing at the helm of this great ship and marvel at the towering masts. They can also visit the crew's sleeping quarters strewn with hammocks and wonder at the frugal delights of the galley!

From 3 January to 17 March, The Endeavour will undergo a major re-fit. During this 10-week re-fit period, marquees will be erected on the dockside to hold special exhibitions of the work being done to the ship. Members of the ship's crew will be on hand to speak with children and demonstrate all the ship's re-fit activities, but for safety reasons the public will not be allowed on board.

For its final week in Cardiff Bay, 17-24 March, the ship will be re-opened to the public.

Spend a night aboard the Endeavour covering the watch!
