PICTURING CARDIFF HAS JUST GOT EASIER
The Cardiff Initiative has got over one hundred brand-new pictures of the city and they are now available for partner organisations to use.
The remit to photographer Paul Clements of PMC Photography was shoot Cardiff from a different angle, both physically and metaphorically and the result is a lively set of young images of the citys sights, from the castle to the clubbers. The pictures will be used by the Initiative on all their publicity and marketing materials, but other organisations that promote Cardiff are being invited to use the images free of charge, too.
We are frequently approached by organisations from universities and quangos right through to travel trade publications from across the world, who want good, high-res, up-to-date pictures of Cardiff and they need them quickly. These new images of the city are excellent and have been very well received so far. The photolibrary can be viewed on-line and the photos are categorised under headings such as Attractions, Cardiff Bay, Shopping and Sport, which makes negotiating the site simple. Non-commercial organisations who want a good Cardiff picture just need to go to the site, choose their images, fill in the request form and a disk of their chosen images will be forwarded to them, says the Cardiff Initiatives Lowri ap Robert.
The photolibrary can be viewed at www.cardiffphotolibrary.co.uk
